Brightcove.tv ending direct consumer video submissions

Brightcove announced today that it will cease to support direct consumer uploads to Brightcove.tv as of December 17, 2007.
It is changing the site to feature the content produced and showcased on partner and client sites instead. The content already uploaded on the site will remain there and continue to be available for all who want to view or link to their videos.
Brightcove.tv will now showcase publishers videos that also include consumer generated video. Content produced by and received by publishers will be found here.

The message sent to Brightcove.tv users stated, “Brightcove.TV will continue to be a guide to great video from Brightcove media and business partners. The site will have new videos added to it daily from these partners and these videos can be saved as favorite videos in your channel”.
